Title Offerings Needs
Boys & Girls Club - East Biloxi Unit Works with kids with mental health/behavioral issues, can offer training for parents on helping kids with such problems, advise on mental health needs, etc. Works closely with schools and can offer guidance on how to access school sites. More information about art therapy
Gulf Coast Women’s Center Speakers available on topics such as domestic violence, respectful dating/relationships, abuse, sexual health, etc. More youth who can speak on these topics, especially at the middle and high schools. Would like to see college age students who can come and speak to the younger kids. Also needs help understanding how to get into the high schools which are wary of some of these topics.
Nativity Youth Ministry Have kids who are aged 13-18 who are looking for service/volunteer opportunities Finding opportunities and service projects for the teens
Ohr O'Keefe Museum of Art Provides a variety of after school programs and art related opportunities for kids—such as painting murals at senior centers. Wants to ensure that their programs are aligned with the MS school curriculum, needs help understanding what is in the curriculum and how to align programming.
United Way Through the “Volunteer Gulf Coast Center” can access, recruitment and placement for volunteers Always can use more volunteers, and especially more organizations who are willing to accept volunteers aged 13-18.
Weed and Seed A resource portal to distribute information about community events and maintains community calendar. Help getting the word out about the website and community calendar, getting people to send their information to the calendar.
